PURCHASE FARM FRESH POULTRY PRODUCTS FROM THESE SPN-USA RECOGNIZED FLOCK FARMS

The SPN-USA Certified Flock certification provides creditability, assurance, and authenticity that a flock of poultry is true to breed and is being bred to the highest excellence for vigor, standard qualities, and production qualities.

FARM FRESH POULTRY MEAT, EGGS AND CHICKS

We highly recommend these certified flocks for buying chicks, poults, young birds or even older breeders. Poultry meat or eggs is often available along with farm fresh products. We believe that the foundation of bringing these historical, heirloom breeds of poultry back to the kitchen tables of American families means that we must carefully establish large breeding flocks.

SPN-USA ADVOCATE BREEDER FLOCKS (ABF)

Advocate flocks have been through our mentoring program or have been previously certified and their birds have been evaluated for SPN-USA quality; however, they are not participating in our ongoing monitoring program. This does not automatically mean their birds are inferior, just that the flock has not been evaluated annually. These advocate flock owners are critical for the movement of SPN-USA! They include people who believe in our mission and core values, desire to support the movement. They may be breeding on a very small homesteading model and they want to stay connected to SPN-USA family. These flocks are assigned a coach, but does not include any on-farm consultations. Advocate flocks are welcome to request a coaching consultation for an additional fee.

SPN-USA MENTORING BREEDER FLOCKS (MBF)

MENTORING Breeder Flocks (MBF) These flocks are currently involved in our Full Farm Mentorship program. These flocks may graduate into either of the above flock levels. This mentorship program may last 18 months to several years, depending on the breed of poultry They are restoring. During the mentorship, the flock will be accessed for certification but the determination will be determined by the SPN-USA Certified Coach. Some breeds have a long way to go before they can be labeled as standard bred.
